Bloody January 6th Riots Could Repeat In NYC as Trump Claims He Will Be Arrested on Tuesday and Calls for Protests

Former President Donald Trump claims he will be arrested on Tuesday, as he stated on his social media, Truth Social. In the same post, he asked for protests, leaving many wondering if this would lead to the repeating of the January 6th riots.

Trump said in his post that he, “a “leading Republican candidate and former president of the United States, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week.”

He added, “Protest, take our nation back.”

NYC is ready for chaos

Since Thursday, New York City officers have been preparing for the possible indictment as a yearslong investigation into a hush-money scheme involving adult film actress Stormy Daniels nears an end.

However, no one else confirmed that Trump’s arrest would happen on Tuesday, so many wonder what made him choose that day.

Another witness is set to testify on Monday, and it is unclear if it is the final witness.

Musk claims this will only make Trump more popular

Despite a lack of confirmation, Elon Musk predicted that Trump would be reelected if he gets arrested. Musk tweeted, “If this happens, Trump will be reelected in a landslide victory.”

Musk responded to a tweet by Fox News which claimed that the Manhattan District Attorney’s office asked for a meeting with law enforcement before a possible Trump indictment next week.

Echoes of January 6th

Trump urged his followers to protest his looming indictment. He wrote,

ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE” in his Saturday morning post on Truth Social.

“THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!”

In a follow-up message, the former president said, “THEY’RE KILLING OUR NATION AS WE SIT BACK & WATCH. WE MUST SAVE AMERICA! PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!.”

Talking to The Post Saturday, Michael Cohen said, “Donald’s post is eerily similar to his battle cry prior to the January 6th insurrection, including calling for protest. By doing so, Donald is hoping to rile his base, witness another violent clash on his behalf, and profit from it by soliciting contributions.”

Trump vs. Daniels

If charged, Trump will be the first president in US history to ever face criminal charges after leaving office.

The Manhattan case alleged that Stormy received money through Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney and fixer. She claims they had an affair in 2006, which Trump denied.

Daniels testified on Wednesday and only shared that she has a great lawyer.

Republicans react to the possible arrest of Donald Trump

Taylor Green tweeted, “This is what they do in communist countries to destroy their political opponents!” She then added, “These idiots are sealing their own fate in 2024 because the silent majority has two feelings right now about the current regime.”

McCarthy said, “Here we go again — an outrageous abuse of power by a radical DA who lets violent criminals walk as he pursues political vengeance against President Trump.”

J.D. Vance also supported Trump, but many are still staying silent.

Dershowitz said Trump should be worried.

Trump’s former attorney, Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz told Fox News, “If I were him, I would be worried.”

Dershowitz continued, “I don’t think there’ll be a motion to dismiss that succeeds. This is New York justice. In New York, of course, you can indict a ham sandwich. But in New York, you can also convict a ham sandwich because the jury pool will be very much against Trump, and the judges will be very much against Trump.”

Other potential indictments, including the grand jury in Georgia, are still awaiting their outcomes.

This is a developing story.
