Former President Donald Trump continues posting on his social network Truth Social. Unsurprisingly, he called out his former lawyer Micheal Cohen, and Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, all while pushing back against those who claim that there should not be violent protests.
The investigation
Last Saturday, the 45th President of the US claimed he would be arrested on Tuesday over the investigation into hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels. Though that did not happen, he allegedly gathered 1.5 million USD from his supporters in campaign donations.
Calling out presumably Cohen and Manhattan DA
On Thursday, Trump posted another impressive post, all in caps lock. He claimed everything was made up by “A CONVICTED NUT JOB WITH ZERO CREDIBILITY, WHO HAS BEEN DISPUTED BY HIGHLY RESPECTED PROFESSIONALS AT EVERY TURN.”
He added, “BRAGG REFUSES TO STOP DESPITE OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY.”
Trump compares the US to Russia and China, only worse
Trump attacked Bragg, saying he was “A SOROS-BACKED ANIMAL WHO JUST DOESN’T CARE ABOUT RIGHT OR WRONG NO MATTER HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE HURT.”
This post ended on a high note, “THIS IS THE GESTAPO, THIS IS RUSSIA AND CHINA, BUT WORSE. DISGRACEFUL!”
Sixteen minutes later, it was time for another post
In a follow-up, 16 minutes later, Trump wrote, “EVERYBODY KNOWS I’M 100% INNOCENT, INCLUDING BRAGG, BUT HE DOESN’T CARE. HE IS JUST CARRYING OUT THE PLANS OF THE RADICAL LEFT LUNATICS. OUR COUNTRY IS BEING DESTROYED, AS THEY TELL US TO BE PEACEFUL!”
Even Greene called for peace
The call for protests divided even the most prominent Trump supporters.
For example, Rudy Giuliani and Marjorie Taylor Greene claimed that the demonstrations should stay peaceful, all while giving their full support to the former President.
Is Trump asking for a January 6th repeat?
Many suggested that since Saturday, the former President wants a repeat of the bloody protests from January 6th.
Michael Cohen said the former President’s posts expressed his desire for “another violent clash.” So far, there have been no large crowds or violent crashes among Trump supporters and those who want him behind bars. But, Mahanattan police have been on alert since last week.
Cohen speaks up
Cohen said in an interview with MSNBC:
“It’s eerily similar to the battle cry that he put out just before the January 6th insurrection, you know, especially including the call, you know, for protest. I agree … it would have been smart for Donald to write ‘peaceful protest,’ but he doesn’t want a peaceful protest.”
Trump wants all those investigating him removed
In another post on Truth Social, the former President shared that every law enforcement official leading investigations into him should be removed.
He called Bragg “a danger to our country,” accused Jack Smith of “harassing and intimidating innocent people,” and continued his rant.
These posts could backfire
However, as many lawyers suggested, the DA from New York, as well as those in Georgia, are looking at this behavior, which might backfire in Trump’s face considering what happened during the Capitol riots.
As for potential Trump’s arrest, despite many AI images, the chances of seeing him in handcuffs are not high since the Secret Service will protect the former President.
Despite what Trump says, we know nothing
The potential arrest might happen today or in a few weeks. There is no strict timeline.
Many asked why Stormy Daniels’s case was so important, but the truth is that there is no timeline. Though it is easy to see why the Georgia investigation might be more significant, people are merely doing their jobs.
