Acid Rains Are Creating “Bubbles” and Destroying His Truck, Ohio Resident Claims

TikTok users from Ohio have been posting viral videos about acid rain, though there are no official confirmations.

One user shared how the rain turned to snow and then showed something on the surface of his vehicle. He says, “It’s not ice,” and adds, “Whatever that s…t is, it’s taken the clearcoat of my truck.”

The video was shared around 30k and received nearly 10k comments.

The original poster, bootstrap_willy, was called out numerous times by TikTok users. One wrote, “freeloader. The truck is 23 years old, dude.”

Another shared, “Nice try, bro. You know damn well that truck hasn’t run in five years.”

One comment was empathetic to the poster, “The comment section is horrible. I can tell you to work hard for what you have. I hope all of you stay safe, and I will pray for you!”

The video’s poster also responded to one comment. A person wrote, “I’ve been seeing a lot of vehicles from Ohio on here doing that. I fear for you all, man. you guys need to get outta there.” The poster said, “it’s not just here. It’s everywhere at this point.”

While allegations of acid rain in East Palestine, Ohio, and nearby states keep popping up on social media, many have been proven false.

What is confirmed, however, is that there are three class action lawsuits against the railway company, Norfolk Southern Railway, alleging negligence and malpractice.

That’s why it is not surprising that the video was met with negative comments.

Others called out the original poster, writing, “That style of f150 is notorious for that clear coat peel, at least around where I am in Iowa.”

Another wrote, “Looks like an old truck with sun damages starting.”

Acid rain occurs when sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are emitted into the atmosphere. They are moved by the wind and air currents, EPA wrote on the official website.

The original poster says he lives 40 miles away from the derailment.

Norfolk Southern Railroad burned five tanker vehicles of vinyl chloride in East Palestine, Ohio, to stop an explosion after a freight train derailed in the village on Feb. 3.

The train was carrying hundreds of thousands of gallons of hazardous chemicals. Ohio launched a controlled burn for several days, sending immense smoke and toxic gas plumes into the atmosphere.

EPA claims it can fine Norfolk Southern $70,000 daily if it does not clean up and pay for the Ohio toxic train wreck.
