“My Doll Is Posessed And Attacked My Husband” – Terrified Mom Recalls Living With a “Hunted Doll”

Debbie Merrick thought she got a bargain after finding three china dolls in a charity shop, spending only £5. But, soon after, the whole family was in the clutches of supernatural powers.

A week after the purchase, Debbie’s husband, Cameron, woke up with minor scratches on his leg.

Talking to ITV’s This Morning, Debbie recalled, ” “The smoke alarms keep going off, and one night I heard the floorboards creaking and thought it might have been my daughter Holly up, but when I checked on her, she was asleep.”

The wife and mother continued, “Then one morning, my husband said to me, ‘I’ve got scratches all over my legs.'”

“It definitely hadn’t happened before. They looked a bit like cat scratches and were sore.”

Debbie said her husband was “a complete non-believer.” He was trying to come up with any other explanation, as Debbie stated, while Holly, their daughter, is confident that the doll is haunted:

“The scratches do look like they’ve been done by something small, like little doll hand scratches.”

“Holly keeps telling people that the creepy doll scratched her Dad’s leg.”

Debbie is terrified, “I’ve had a nightmare about a doll dragging itself along the floor towards me.”

Talking to her friend, a medium, Debbie learned that the family’s smoke alarms keep going off because the doll’s spirit is moving through the house. The medium friend is confident that at least one doll “had something in it.”

Debbie even tried to get rid of that one doll, which seemed to cause significant concerns. She placed the doll in the shed, but it did not help.

Two days after moving the doll, she found that it no longer had a necklace, so she again turned to her friend:

“When I brought the dolls through for my friend to take a look, she said, ‘get it out, it’s got something in it.'”

Debbie said about the shed experience, “When I’d packed it away, I’d made sure the necklace was wrapped around its neck about four times.”

Then, she found the doll and wondered, “I was quite scared of it, to be honest. I just kept thinking, ‘how?'”

It became so creepy that Debbie “didn’t want to touch it, and when I had to touch it, I felt sick.”

The doll was then listed on eBay for £25, and the family hopes a demonologist will tackle it. But even placing an ad turned into a nightmare:

“I took some pictures of it because I wanted to put it on eBay, then I left it. I even struggled to upload the pictures to eBay, it was really strange, that had never happened before.”

Debbie does not want to “go back into the shed” or even touch the doll, saying, “If we need to post it, my husband can package it up.”

The petrified mom also claims that she felt she had to buy the dolls, explaining, “I don’t know why I decided to buy the dolls. It was a bit strange, but at the time, I didn’t think much about it. Even that’s unusual.”

Debbie planned to give away the doll to charity. But, it sold for £866 to a “paranormal enthusiast.”

Soon, the same person, the new owner of the haunted doll, woke up with similar scratches.

Though Debbie and the doll parted ways in 2017, you can still find them on TikTok, as many still don’t know what to make of all this.
