“A Gift On a Beautiful Platter to China”: Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls Out President Biden Over War in Ukraine

Joe Biden’s historical visit to Ukraine and meeting with Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian President, did not sit well with many, especially Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.

The meeting between the two presidents happened on Monday, 20th February, which also marked Presidents’ Day in the US.

On the same day, Taylor Greene tweeted that Biden was a “fool” and called for his impeachment. He also called for “divorce” between the blue and the red states, prompting many to wonder if she wanted another civil war.

She also wished Donald Trump a happy Presidents’ Day, saying he was elected twice and will be elected again in 2024.

Today, on Wednsday, the 22nd, Taylor Greene took her dissatisfaction with the President to Twitter, writing,

“Biden’s war in Ukraine is a gift on a beautiful platter to China.”

This tweet comes after the Russian leader met the Chinese president’s advisor.

Wang Yi, China’s Director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, is on a European tour. He met with Vladimir Putin, the Russian President, today. Putin welcomed Wang and told him ties between Beijing and Moscow were “reaching new milestones.”

Xi is expected to make a “peace speech” on Friday, though Ukranians claim there will be no peace talks until Russian troops leave.

After her latest tweet, people called out Taylor Greene, with one person writing, “Putin told you to say that,” and another observing, “So is this divorce thing about having red states marry your BFF Putin’s Russia? Love that authoritarianism? Pretty scary if you ask me, comrade. And treasonous….”

Another Twitter user stated, “Your support for autocrats is a gift on a beautiful platter to Putin and Xi. Period.”

This poster wrote, “Anything that hurts Putin hurts Perjorie Traitor Greene. That’s why it’s squealing so much.”

The tweet received nearly 160k views and 306 retweets.

Just two hours later, she addressed the “national divorce,” saying:

“People saying national divorce is a bad idea because the left will never stop trying to control us literally make the case for national divorce. We don’t want a civil war. We’re not surrendering. We’re tired of complaining with no change and want to protect our way of life.”

This tweet will most likely go viral since the topic of “national divorce” is something not all Republicans agree with, and that includes Utah Governor Spencer Cox.
