A woman revealed that she gatecrashed her ex-lover’s wedding and accidentally announced she was expecting a baby with the groom.
Moments after the groom said “I do” to his new bride, the bride discovered the truth about the other woman, and the union was annulled.
Talking to Reddit, the pregnant woman asked if she was the a….hole for ruining the wedding. In a lengthy post, she described how his grandmother told her to “gate crash” the ceremony. But that was not all.
The grandma “snuck” in the woman who said she “shed a few tears, but it really solidified things.”
Again the grandmother pushed her to the reception, and the original poster ended up sitting with the groom’s family.
Upon seeing the newlyweds, the bride congratulated her on the pregnancy. The five-month-pregnant poster then said “something about how I couldn’t wait to co-parent with the two of them.”
The bride did not know that the groom had fathered a child with the original poster, so she ran out.
Grandmother told the original poster that the marriage was annulled.
Nearly 34k people agreed that apart from the bride, everyone involved was in the wrong. The commentator concluded: “I’m glad she got out of that marriage because you all sound dramatic and hard to be around.”
Another pointed out, “I have a sneaking suspicion that grandma planned for all this to happen.”
Almost everyone agreed that “grandma is a troublemaker” while the groom was much worse. The original poster crossed the line when she crashed not only the wedding but the reception.
Some were suspicious about the original poster, writing, “She knew exactly what she was doing showing up there.”
There was a silver lining, according to this Reddit user, “This is a better outcome than the bride finding out months from now.”
In the comments, someone revealed that the groom and the bride were together for three years after his three-year relationship with the original poster ended. However, once he was with the bride, they had a break. During it, he was in a relationship with the original poster for a few months.
Two months after the break, the bride and the groom married. While the timeline was hard to understand, many agreed it was a “trainwreck.”
Some also wondered, “What did you expect was gonna happen by sneaking into that wedding??”
