“Everyone Can Stop Blaming Guns Now”: Marjorie Taylor Greene Blames Antifa for Trans Day of Vengeance, Ignoring the Real Issues at Hand

Marjorie Taylor Greene went after trans people while protecting guns. Now, she is back to attacking Antifa and the event “Trans Day of Vengeance.”

Regardless of how often people, the media, and researchers tried to correct the Georgia representative, she remained firmly by her controversial opinions.

In her latest tweet, she wrote, “Antifa is organizing a Trans Day of Vengeance.” Then asked, “Does everyone understand that Antifa is an organized and funded terrorist group that brings violence and terror for every cause they take up?”

Greene says, “Everyone can stop blaming guns now”

After it was revealed that a trans person committed the Nashville shooting, Greene tweeted, “How much hormones like testosterone and medications for mental illness was the transgender Nashville school shooter taking? Everyone can stop blaming guns now.”

As someone pointed out, “By your logic, How many pre- and menopausal women are out there shooting s..it up? Zero. Because it’s the guns, not hormones.”

It did not end there

People shared the statistics and their insight into Greene’s rhetoric. One tweeted, “When a straight white man does it, he & ‘mental health’ get blamed. Still, in both instances, to deranged people like MTG, it’s never the guns or the access to them.”

Another added, “And your excuse for every other school shooting by a cis person? Where is the logic in your mindset?”

The event Greene mentioned was scheduled months ago

Trans Day of Vengeance was scheduled from March 31 to April 1, but it was canceled due to a “credible threat to life and safety.” Twitter reportedly removed all tweets regarding the event.

The event was supposed to show that the Trans/Non-Binary/Gender Non-Conforming/Intersex communities are facing astronomical amounts of hate from the world.

Among the issues, there is a historic number of bills proposed in the US against the LBGTQ community as a whole.

Greene’s tweet involved Antifa

“Of course, Antifa supports child abuse, would we expect anything different from the enforcers of the trans mafia?” tweeted Greene on March 13.

She asked 15 days later, “When will the DOJ hold Antifa accountable?” Adding, “Even worse, why haven’t they yet?”

Antifa is, as the name expresses, an “anti-fascist” organization.

As one person quizzed Greene, “Name five prominent members of Antifa. Name three planned, organized Antifa attacks the FBI should have reacted to?”

Another reacted, “You want to marginalize trans people more than ever.”

The numbers don’t lie

In over 2800 mass shootings in the last five years in the US, only three confirmed shooters were Trans. Not five.

As a Reddit user explained:

“The interesting point is that if 3 out of 2840 mass shooters identify as trans, that’s like 0.09% or 0.1%, whereas there are about 1.4 million people in the US who identify as trans, which is like 0.45%. That means trans people are dramatically UNDER REPRESENTED in the ‘mass shooter’ category. If it were a representative cross-section of the population of the US, there would be twice as many at least. So trans folks are actually LESS likely to shoot a bunch of random people. Guess what demographic is drastically OVER represented? Go on, guess…”

It is still the guns

Sandy Hook Promise writes that guns are the leading cause of death among American children and teens.

At the beggning of the year, some members of the House wore assault rifle-style lapel pins on the House floor. This was to “remind people of the Second Amendment of the Constitution and how important it is in preserving our liberties.”

Former prosecutor Charles Coleman called them out again, asking, “House members who decided that it was a good idea to wear AR-15 lapel pins and walk around Congress…where are they right now? What’s going to be their statement?”

It appears you already saw answers to that.
