Trump left another message on Truth Social while awaiting for possible second federal, overall third indictment, calling it a “witch hunt” once again.
Trump on Democrats
The former president, who is also GOP’s presidential hopeful, wrote on his social network, “So, let’s get this straight? The Democrat SLIMEBALLS in Congress, then headed by Crazy Nancy Pelosi, Impeached me over a PERFECT PHONE CALL (I Won!), and are now Indicting me over their continuing, illegal, and long-running Witch Hunt, but Crooked Joe Biden, who has stolen and extorted millions of dollars, won’t be Impeached or Indicted by a very kind, friendly, and politically correct Republican Congress.”
He ended with the recognizable slogan
Trump ended his post with “Gee, that seems very fair to me?” adding, “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!” Trump was likely talking about his first impeachment that alleged he withheld aid from Ukraine unless the officials found “dirt” on Joe Biden. The “stolen and extorted millions of dollars” allegations were not proven yet.
Trump’s video message to Congress
The 45th president also shared a video message to Congress, pleading for help, the Independent first reported. In a statement, Trump said, “Congress, if you will, please investigate the political witch hunts against me currently being brought by the corrupt DOJ and FBI, who are totally out of control.”
They are always coming after Trump
The former, twice impeached and twice indicted president, said, “They keep coming after me.” Last week, Trump said he had received a letter informing him that he was a target in the January 6 investigation. This means that an indictment could be looming. “It will be their updated form of rigging our most important election,” Trump said in the video, adding, “Look at the polls, they can’t beat me. The only way they can win is to cheat.”
Even more alleged evidence is coming
The Daily Beast broke the story that former New York City Police Commissioner Bernie Kerik would give approximately two thousand documents to Jack Smith. Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba, said, “I can’t get into any, um, I can’t get into any details.” However, she gave an interesting statement, “Headlines are done for election interference. Watch.”
Trial dates are set in previous indictments
The trial date for alleged falsifying business records in New York is set for March 2024, while the trial regarding the alleged mishandling of classified documents is set for May 2024. In October, Trump and his older children will be involved in a civil trial brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James. She filed a civil lawsuit against the Trump Organization, claiming that Trumps committed fraud by inflating his net worth by billions of dollars to get richer.
The potential new charges
Apart from Jack Smith’s investigation into events that led to January 6, Trump might face more charges from Georgia. Guardian reported in an update that Georgia prosecutors were eye criminal solicitation charges in the Trump investigation. Reports claim that prosecutors are expected to bring charges against Trump at the start of August.
