Nikki Haley says 65 is “way too low” for retirement

Haley was called out for saying that 65 is “way too low” for retirement age, though she explained, “Any candidate that says they’re not going to touch entitlements means that they’re going to go into office and then leave America bankrupt.”

The Republican blamed her party for its role in the federal debt and then discussed the entitlements. Speaking to Bloomberg, the former UN ambassador said, “You’ve got multiple candidates on that stage that said they wouldn’t touch entitlements. She added that candidates who do not want to touch this issue will leave America bankrupt.

During the debate, Hailey stated, “The truth is that Biden didn’t do this to us. Our Republicans did this to us, too. When they passed that $2.2 trillion Covid stimulus bill, they left us with 90 million people on Medicaid, 42 million people on food stamps.”

Stop spending

The ex UN ambasador said. “They need to stop the spending. They need to stop the borrowing. They need to eliminate the earmarks that Republicans brought back in.”

She repeated these claims

In an appearance on Bloomberg Television, Haley again blamed Republicans for “spending like drunken sailors and raising the debt limit.” She added, “We change the retirement age to reflect life expectancy. Instead of cost-of-living increases, we do it based on inflation. We limit the benefits on the wealthy, and we expand Medicare Advantage plan.”

We need more friends, not less

Hailry repeated that NATO should be expanded and that supporting Ukraine is a necessity. During the debates, Haley said, “You have no foreign policy experience, and it shows,” adding. “The problem is that Vivek doesn’t understand, he wants to hand Ukraine to Russia, he wants to let China eat Taiwan, he wants to go and stop funding Israel, you don’t do that to friends.”

Leaving past in the past

The GOP presidential hopeful explained, “I think I’m going to be the winner of the primary, and I think that’s why we need a new generational conservative leader. We’ve got to leave the past and the negativity behind us, and we’ve got to start focusing on the real problems at hand and start getting things done.”

Haley’s responses went viral

While Republicans and Independents praised some of her views, the retirement age and entitlements raised eyebrows. On TikTok, one person wondered, “US life expectancy is 77 years old. So we get 12 years of retirement, and they think that’s too much?”

The real issues

Another person stated, “Anything but tax the rich, right? Pathetic!” Someone proclaimed, “Yeah, let’s just work until we die! What a fu..ed up system!” Since Haley did not specify the age of retirement she had in mind, one person pointed out, “Mississippi life expectancy is 71.9 years old, Hawaii is 80.7. Which one do you choose?”

Someone responded to the clip, “Vote every Republican out.” Another wondered, “Does she know that 65 is not the retirement age for Social Security?”

You never get to live

This person wrote, “So she wants you to work until you physically can’t work and are a liability. You never get to live.”

People had a point

One TikTok poster asked, “Hasn’t life expectancy been going down?” Another proclaimed, “Government mismanagement shouldn’t be taken out on the citizens. They never saved any of the money.”

More problems

There are more problems, as this person said, “65 is way too low. Good luck getting a job at 66 or 70. Nobody will touch you.”
