Michigan Woman Publicly Shames a 6-Year-Old Cheerleader With Down Syndrome, Turns Out She’s Dad’s Girlfriend

Mindy Tyler from Michigan went on a rant about a six-year-old cheerleader with Down syndrome. She claimed that the girl was “bringing the squad down.”

Tyler posted the comments on Facebook, and she soon went viral for all the wrong reasons. Many parents of children with special needs attacked her, which led to her deleting her comment.

The TikTok user, who goes by the name mama.b.energy, gave insight into Tyler’s personal life.

She said, “I want you to take a look at these beautiful girls that are in this photo.” She asked the viewers to look at Kinsley Brink, adding that she “happens to be a six-year-old cheerleader with the rest of her team, doing what little kids do.”

Kinsley is the girl with Down syndrome, or as the former cheerleader said, “a little extra love” in her chromosome 21.

Then, she showed a photo of a woman in her early 30s, referring to her as “dragon’s a–-.”

Before going to revelations about Tyler’s personal life, here is what she said on Facebook:

“Just wondering what makes a cheerleader. I know exactly what makes a cheerleader a cheerleader.”

Taylor continued, “For one, you have to be able to speak to say the cheers…for two, you have to be able to do all the movements with all the other girls…you have to have a memory and comprehension even to know what the next cheer is… you have to be able to follow directions so that you know when to stand there and be quiet….”

The former cheerleader and cheerleading coach assumed that Kinsley could not perform due to Down syndrome, which is not truthful.

She completed her rant: “A skirt and a bow don’t make you a cheerleader, dumb f–ks.”

The TikTok user then revealed that Tyler was removed as a volunteer cheerleading coach at another school after the Facebook post. But in a shocking twist, it turns out that she is dating Kinsley’s dad.

TikTok user said, “This is Kinsley’s father’s girlfriend talking s–t about a child with Down syndrome.” She showed a photo of the couple: “This is the girlfriend of the father of that child that she talked about!”

Tyler made a follow-up comment which did not go well:

“I’ll just say some people want their child to do certain things so bad that they’ll put these kids in these sports that they have absolutely no capability of doing just so they could say ‘my kid’s a cheerleader.”

She continued, “They don’t worry about the coaches that put in the work to have the team look good and be all together…they don’t think about the kids who work hard and are doing what they are supposed to do to look good only not to look good because these kids that don’t know what they’re doing are bringing the squad down.”

She added it was “unfair” to the team and coaches for children with special needs to be on sports teams. Then asked parents to give their children “the help they need.”

Another TikTok user shared a moving video showing kids with Down’s Syndrome playing sports. The video caption read: “Mindy Tyler posted about her own boyfriend’s daughter Kinsley Brink who has Down Syndrome.”

The caption read: “Mindy Tyler posted about her own boyfriend’s daughter Kinsley Brink who has Down syndrome, that she is incapable of being a cheerleader and makes her teammates look bad! From this video looks like she’s pretty capable of being a badass!!!! Let’s support Down Syndrome! Let’s support their passion for sports and their love for life!”

Many TikTok users wanted to support Kinsley and kids with special needs, as one person wrote, “Supporting little missy all the way from Scotland! She doesn’t need Mindy. No one does….she’s got TikTok on her side!”

Another shared, “This young lady is amazing and deserves the world.”

More people spread positivity and love, as this TikTok user said, “Love this little girl! I’m a special education teacher to a high school cheerleader with Down syndrome. You keep cheering and anything else you want, baby girl!”

Tyler received many snarky comments, “I think we can all agree that Mindy Peaked in 11th grade and is still talking about how great high school was now in her 40s.”
