“Someone is going to get killed” – Experts Warn Trump’s “Dangerous” Posts Offer “An Excuse” For Violence

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg got death threats soon after Donald Trump shared a disturbing post on his social media, Truth Social.

Bragg received a letter with white powder and a note, “Alvin: I am going to kill you.” His office had received “offensive or threatening phone calls or emails.”

But, Manhattan DA is not the only person who might be in danger.

Trump mocked peaceful protests and called for “destruction”

The former president warned of “potential death and destruction” if he was indicted in his Truth Social post.

In it, he also accused “a degenerate psychopath that truly hates the USA!” Allegedly this part was about the DA.

Bragg wrote to his staff, “We do not tolerate attempts to intimidate our office or threaten the rule of law in New York.”

Experts are worried

Kurt Braddock, an American University professor who researches far-right extremism and how communication and propaganda contribute to political violence, told Insider:

“Trump is doing what he has always done. He walks to the line of openly calling for violence and stops just before making overt directives.”

Trump will hide from potential accusations

Braddock added that Trump’s “supporters are looking for an excuse to turn to violence.”

He also claims that Trump will “hide under a blanket of plausible deniability, saying that he never ordered anyone to become violent.”

More experts support these claims

Brian Klaas, a political scientist at University College London and expert on democracy and political violence, shared on Twitter:

“Someone is going to get killed.”

Klass added that Trumps is a “serious threat to American democracy and security.” He also claims the former president is “actively stoking political violence.”

Similarity to January 6th

In his recent posts, Trump called his supporters to “protest” and “take our nation back.”

He compared the US legal system to Gestapo, Russia, and China, “only worse.”

During his speech on January 6th, the former president called his supporters to “show strength” and “fight like hell.”

If Trump is convicted in New York, he could be sentenced to up to four years in jail.

Many are worried since Trump continued his campaign as usual

On Reddit, someone wrote, “He is already calling for violence openly.” They added, “I think he’s going to call for more violence at his Waco rally today.”

Another shared, “He thinks he is above the law, and so far, no one has proven him wrong.”

“His threats seem like ones made by Mafia bosses,” another Reddit poster said.

Other attacks from the 45th president

Previously, Trump called Bragg, the first Black DA in Manhattan, an “animal.

He also shared a suggestive photo showing him with a bat. Next to that picture was a photo of the DA.

Trump also shared unpleasant words about others, including his former lawyer and fixer, Micheal Cohen.

All posts might easily backfire if someone decides to investigate Trump’s potential obstruction of justice further.

ABC claims none of the emails that came to Bragg’s office mentioned Trump by name, but they did contain Cyrillic letters.
