“I’m balling out on a Karen’s dime”: Waiter takes revenge on rude woman by keeping her Gucci bag and Versace sunglasses that she left in the restaurant

Dean Redmond, a server in NYC in his early 20s, is famous on social media for posting unapologetic and often controversial viral videos.

Recently, he shared a clip with his nearly 200k followers, which gathered him over 50k views.

He opened up the TikTok video saying he wanted to tell the story for three weeks but was afraid of getting arrested. Dean then described how he “awarded” rude customers by keeping a Gucci bag and Versace sunglasses.

The family did not greet the young man before telling him to hang the kids’ coats. Unprepared, he dropped them, and the woman scolded him, “Those are Canada Goose. Do you know how expensive those are?”

According to Dean, the woman screamed that she would send them the bill for dry cleaning. The manager showed up, and the woman told them the server threw jackets on the floor.

Dean then took the orders, two chocolate milks and two cappuccinos. Interestingly enough, the husband did not say a word and kept playing Pokémon GO on an iPad.

Dean put the lids on the milk since the “kids were literally five years old.” But, the woman again was angered and told him they should have real cups.

She continued by saying, “these cappuccinos are so weak, we hate them.” But the husband only kept scrolling on his iPad.

After offering to make another cappuccino, the woman told Dean to put a shot of espresso in each instead.

Then the woman ordered a bacon cheeseburger off the kids’ menu for each child. Dean said he warned them it would be better to get a regular burger and split it. They did not listen, but once the food arrived, the woman asked, “How is this going to be enough food for the kids?”

This is when the husband finally spoke up, asking Dean why he was arguing with his wife. He ordered the server, “Just get us another bacon cheeseburger.”

When the bill arrived, the woman started snapping her fingers, asking why they were paying for three burgers.

The manager came up while the woman screamed at Dean, calling him a “horrible worker.”

But then Dean showed that he found a Gucci bag, but he had to wait three weeks because it was the restaurant’s policy. The young server then showed a pair of Versace sunglasses, which presumably came with the bag.

While singing, “I’m balling out on a Karen’s dime,” Dean ended the clip.

In the comment section, Dean wrote, “bag secured, period.”

People were mostly pleased with the outcome, as one TikTok follower wrote, “That’s karmic justice. Love that for you, Dean.”

Someone joked, “I’m sure you tried so hard to get them back to her.”

Another chimed in: “karma is a Gucci bag.”

Many enjoyed Dean’s singing, as someone said, “This ending was everything.”

Another long-time follower shared, “I swear, you get ALL the crazies..at least this time it paid off.” A person echoed this, “I’m happy you got to keep the bag in the sunglasses.”

Dean uses his TikTok to respond to bad reviews and share outrageous stories from his work. Some of his videos surpassed 700k views due to his unique personality and the way he tells the story.

What do you think about karma being a Gucci bag?
