Donald Trump’s supporters from the south of Sunshine State do not care about criminal or any other potential charges. They are even more devoted to the former President than ever.
Trump supporters feel bad for him
Talking to local media, several people shared their feelings about the current situation and Trump’s predicament. Plantation’s resident, Cathy Rollins, revealed she is still entirely behind Trump, adding, “Am I likely to vote for him again? Absolutely. I think it’s terrible what they’re putting him through.”
The woman was a Democrat until Trump
She added she voted for Democrats until the 2016 election. She realized she did not think like a Democrat and turned the page, helping the 45th president win the race.
First-time voter in 2016
Michelle Lilly, of Port St. Lucie, voted for the first time in 2016 when she was 49. She will vote in 2024, explaining, “If he (Trump) doesn’t win in 2024, I’ll never vote again.”
She believes “they” are scared of him
Lilly continued, “Our country needs him. Trump’s the only one who can get us back where we need to be.” Speaking about Democrats, she claimed, “They’re scared of him.” Regarding the charges, she called them “ridiculous.”
An expert weighs in
Kevin Wagner, a political scientist at Florida Atlantic University, shared that none of the charges matter for core Trump voters, adding, “If anything, it probably is more motivating to them.”
Supporters are more energized than ever
Larry Snowden, the President of Club 47, a Palm Beach County organization dedicated to the former President, claims that Trump and MAGA supporters are “more energized and engaged than ever.”

A Reddit user said, “Don’t threaten me with a functioning country.” Another added, “Dear Republicans, please don’t vote anymore, the machines are rigged. Your vote will be counted towards the Democrat contender. If you don’t vote, it’s like taking away a vote from a Democrat.”

Someone wrote, “They’re making a Martyr out of an idiot! Unbelievably stupid.” Another person was even more disappointed, “It shocks me how many people think this is the hill to die on. He’s literally the worst President we’ve ever had. Please, for the sake of the country, move on!”

One said, “It says everything about these people. They don’t care about ideas or issues; they don’t want to do the hard necessary work of arguing for a platform, building a coalition, or putting their eggs in more than one basket and spreading their support out behind a cast of leaders.” Another shared that Republicans and right-wing are “imploding before our very eyes.” They claimed this is the time for “progressives to rise to power.”
