Could Trump’s scandalous upcoming book “Letters to Trump” land him in more legal trouble?

Former US president Donald Trump has collected a list of private letters set to be published in the book “Letters To Trump.”

The 320-page book will include 150 letters to Donald Trump. Among the senders are Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jackson, Queen Elizabeth II, Richard Nixon, and many other famous names.

It promises that it is an  “incredible, and oftentimes private” correspondence between Trump and world leaders, royals, and celebrities.

The Book Will Be Published By A Company Whose Cofounder Is Trump’s Son

The founder of Winning Team Publishing, Sergio Gor, issued a statement reading:

“What do presidents, royals, celebrities, and business titans have in common? They all love Donald Trump. Long before entering politics, Donald Trump lived an extraordinary life.”

Gor added, “No book highlights his iconic relationships like ‘Letters to Trump,’ and we are thrilled to be able to share it with our readers.”

Winning Team Publishing is a conservative publisher formed in 2021 by Gor and Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr.

Trump Will Reflect On Over Four Decades in The Spotlight

Each letter is hand-picked by Trump, and it comes with a commentary. It reflects over 40 years in the spotlight, and you can pre-order a signed copy for $399.

The book will be released in April, and the estimated price is around $99.

Considering that Trump was a well-liked New Yorker in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, this does not come as a surprise. He had a successful reality TV show and cameos in numerous movies and series, including “SATC,” “Spin City,” and “Home Alone 2.”

Many Believe This Move Is All About the Elections

Some believe this is all part of the election tactics. But, as a Reddit user wrote, “He can publish them. He is the owner of the letter since it was sent to him.”

Others were not impressed, as someone wrote, “There is something deeply, deeply pathetic about his need to be worshipped.”

Another shared, “And….. this is why he stole the Kim Jun Un letters from the United States. For profit. This shows intent.”

Trump Started Publishing in The 80s

This is Trump’s second book since his presidency ended. “Our Journey Together” was released in 2021, and it was a success.

Trump’s first published book in 1987 was “Trump: The Art of the Deal,” written by ghostwriter Tony Schwartz. It was an instant hit, revisited during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump said this was his favorite book apart from “The Bible.”

His book from 2000, “The America We Deserve,” was one of Oprah’s favorites at the time.

Could This Book Land Trump In Legal Trouble?

Winning Team Publishing told Forbes in a statement it “has either actual or implied consent” for publishing private individuals’ letters. Could the book put Trump into more legal trouble, apart from the prospect of indictments?

There are already speculations that things might not be as simple as many Twitter users pointed out. For now, the publishing date is April 25.

Do you think this book will be a best-seller regardless of your political views? Would you like to have a look at it?
